Why a Share Rise Could Be in the Pipeline for this Plumbing King.

Hello Share Wobblers. Victorian Plumbing Group (VIC) is a Merseyside-based company whose name appeals to me as my home has got, well, Victorian plumbing. I must do something about those leaky taps. I’m also thinking of investing here as the company looks to be rather a good bet. Over the last year, Victorian Plumbing's share price has hit a high of 100p. and a low of 65.5p. Currently, it’s around 75p and I see no glaring reason why, with a recovering economy, it can’t reach its old highs.

The Black Horse Gallops Ahead - and I should Jolly Well Think so, too

Hello Share Shufflers. This old punter struggled to find you a deserving, but overlooked, small capper this week. So I return to a well-traded penny share, Lloyds Bank (LLOY). The Black Horse has been galloping ahead, putting on nearly 20% since a low point on February 13th. But it’s still a long way from its post 2008 bank crash best.

Don't Try this Very Risky Ploy, Chums, Just Because I Sometimes Do.

Hello Share Tweakers. Today’s article illustrates a Stock Market stratagem. But it’s dead risky and I don't recommend it. However, it’s a speculative ploy that’s sometimes clicked for me over many years. So it’s only fair to tell you about it, while ironically warning you off.

Watch for Outfits in the Takeover Lane. They're Likely to be More Common - and Fructiferous

Hello Share Wavers. Twenty years ago, most of my income came from takeovers. I would choose a company that might be in the sights of a bigger fish and buy some shares, and it was not unheard of for me to suddenly make £10,000, say, in a day when a merger was confirmed. Examples are Arm Holdings or Yorkshire Television, but this has now not happened for me for some time. These days I tend to choose companies with regular pay-outs to keep me in take-away pizzas. But my favourite analytical bank, Berenberg, reckons that takeovers are coming back in vogue. Where though should we trust our mazuma when hoping for a takeover?

The Current Low Share Price Doesn't Seem Fair for this Great British Pharma

Hi Share Hitters. I recently ploughed back into GSK plc (GSK) shares after a giving them a longish holiday. I’d needed the money for a house purchase and had yet to reinvest. But the shares haven’t moved much of late and I rather think there might be more punters out there who’re willing to give the company another chance. Especially as the world seems to be getting less healthy by the minute.

Don't Sell Shares In Established Companies until You've Read this.

Hello Share Pickers. The Footsie offered signs of my predicted hefty 2024 bull run at the end of the week. The market which has failed to meet my expectations so far is following the usual pattern of business news. That is: coming later than you might expect. But this is not the time to dispose of shares, chums. It just aint’.
